A big focus on small skiers
For children there can be no better place than our hotel right on the slopes. After all, little legs don’t want to have to cover long distances. Especially not in ski boots. Just 20 metres away from Hotel Alpenfriede is the start of a true winter wonderland for children.
Young children will have big adventures in powder snow in the ski kindergarten and make their first, exciting turns on skis. And the adults? They can meanwhile calmly explore the pistes together.

Hochsölden is almost unsurpassable in terms of skiing fun and innovative winter experiences. 33 state-of-the-art lifts link 150 kilometres of pistes, which are virtually 100% snow-sure thanks to an altitude of 1,350 to 3,340 metres. Long lift queues? No chance! The ski resort is extremely extensive and linked to the glacier ski areas of Rettenbach and Tiefenbach by the “Golden Gate to the Glacier”. Just as spectacular: our BIG3 – three three-thousand metre peaks accessible to skiers.
The best powder
Do you prefer off-piste or love jumps, kickers and jibs? Then a skiing holiday in the Ötz Valley is perfect for you. There is a large freeride area in Hochsölden-Sölden with 2 kilometres of ski routes and the finest powder. And there’s still plenty of powder even when spring has long since arrived in the valley.
The AREA 47 Snowpark Sölden enjoys cult status among those in the know. It’s not only the elite of the international freestyle community who strut their stuff here, as even absolute beginners can attempt their first tricks in this unique fun park.
